I am six months ahead of you in arriving at the BIG 8-5. I can’t say “You’re Gonna Love It.” 🤪. Most of my landmarks - my husband, old friends, old creative connections - are gone and I am learning what it is to be lonely, even as I continue to value solitude. I recognize this old age passage as a powerful period of spiritual awareness and evolution, but it’s also a time of diminishing autonomy and increased dependence on others, especially children and grandchildren.
Your wisdom and candor have been a gift to me. May we very old folks continue to speak our truth and reveal our wounds until the very end. ☺️. BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS…. Nancy Wilson
